After spending a year teaching English in Paris at the Maison d'éducation de la Légion d'honneur, Hunter Claire spent the next four years earning her French and Politics degree at the University of Edinburgh and the Institute D’études Politiques in Lyon. She took her love of communication learned through her five years in Europe back to her hometown and into the nonprofit world, working with Arts In Healthcare, Women for Tennessee’s Future and Vision Philanthropy. She also co-founded and developed an event and social media presence called Fashion Happening Nashville (FHN) which spotlights local fashion, accessory and design. Through FHN, she has helped to create and produce a variety of fashion events in Nashville.

Hunter Claire spent three years honing her events and communication skills at Big Machine Label Group in their Creative Department. She moved on to become the Nashville Fashion Alliance's (NFA) Director Of Opportunity, applying her previous knowledge of event and nonprofit work and her love of local and sustainable fashion to the organization. She directed the NFA's first-annual NFA Honors, a fundraising event that honors fashion industry advocates and entrepreneurs through a public and peer voted awards ceremony.
